Welcoming the New Faculty – Dr. Chanapong Rojanaworarit, Assistant Professor, Department of Health Professions, School of Health Professions and Human Services













Dr. Chanapong Rojanaworarit is joining Hofstra University’s MPH program as an assistant professor in the Department of Health Professions, School of Health Professions and Human Services. Dr. Rojanaworarit is a doctor of dental surgery with an MPH in health system development and a PhD in Public health. He also completed a post-doctoral research fellowship in the department of Environmental Medicine and Public Health at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, New York. He has worked as a dentist since 2007. He has also taught epidemiology since 2013 as a lecturer in the Department of Epidemiology, Faculty of Public Health, Mahidol University, Thailand.  He has experience in teaching several courses at master and doctoral levels including principles of epidemiology, statistical methods in epidemiology, public health research methodology, oral epidemiology, and dental public health. He also served as a member of executive committee for Master of Public Health Program at Mahidol University. His research has focused on application of epidemiological principles and statistical methods to investigate health problems, especially in routine oral healthcare service. Dr. Rojanaworarit has been a key person in forming oral healthcare research network in primary care facilities in 2 provinces in Thailand. He looks forward to serving the Department of Health Professions by teaching epidemiology, biostatistics and quantitative health research methodology. He also wishes to share his experience and interest in conducting clinical and public health research, especially in the topics related to oral healthcare.
